Ballroom Dance
Ballroom Dancing (more properly referred to as Social Dancing) is comprised of several dances, including Waltz, Tango, Fox Trot, Quickstep, Rumba, Cha Cha, Jive, and Samba. Most of these dances originated from folk dances; over the years, they have been standardized to establish a universal curriculum that enables dancers from all around the world to come together. Because each dance is accompanied by a different style of music, Social Dancing allows dancers to enjoy a wide variety of rhythms from different musical eras.
